About Mona

Mona is building the agents behind family law. A team of AI agents reads every page of a case, follows every dollar across every account, and remembers every client interview, then turns it into the analysis, case strategy, and work product an attorney reviews and signs. We started with the financial side of divorce, the largest financial decision most families ever make.

We are a small team that works closely with the attorneys who use Mona, and we intend to stay small. We expect ownership, rigor, and honesty about what works and what does not yet, and we give people the trust and room to act on them.

About the role

As a Design Engineer, you will design Mona in code: the interface attorneys read and review their cases in, and the site that introduces Mona to them. You will own the visual system that ties them together and build what you design, mostly through coding agents.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the product's interface, from case pages to review flows to work product
  • Make dense financial evidence easy to read, check, and act on
  • Own and extend the shared visual system across the product and the marketing site
  • Prototype quickly in code and refine with the attorneys who use Mona
  • Build with coding agents, holding the result to a high bar of craft

You may be a fit if

  • You have 3+ years designing and building interfaces
  • You have strong visual craft, and a portfolio that shows it
  • You build what you design in React and CSS, mostly through coding agents
  • You care about typography, density, and detail

Strong candidates may also

  • Have designed data-heavy or professional software
  • Have built and maintained a design system
  • Have worked on motion and illustration for the web
  • Have designed for legal, financial, or other high-stakes work
