About Mona

Mona is building the agents behind family law. A team of AI agents reads every page of a case, follows every dollar across every account, and remembers every client interview, then turns it into the analysis, case strategy, and work product an attorney reviews and signs. We started with the financial side of divorce, the largest financial decision most families ever make.

We are a small team that works closely with the attorneys who use Mona, and we intend to stay small. We expect ownership, rigor, and honesty about what works and what does not yet, and we give people the trust and room to act on them.

About the role

As a Forward Deployed Product Engineer, you will turn how attorneys actually work into product. You will spend real time with the firms using Mona, see where their cases slow down, and build the fix end to end, from the case pages to the work product, mostly through coding agents.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the attorneys and staff at the firms using Mona, and learn how their matters move
  • Find where attorneys lose time or trust, and build what fixes it, end to end
  • Ship product across the case: review flows, case pages, the case memory, and work product
  • Turn what you learn at one firm into product every firm can use
  • Help firms put Mona to work on their live cases

You may be a fit if

  • You have 3+ years building product as an engineer, ideally close to customers
  • You build with coding agents every day
  • You have strong product judgment and enjoy time with the people who use what you build
  • You explain technical work plainly to attorneys

Strong candidates may also

  • Have been a forward-deployed or solutions engineer
  • Have worked in or with law firms, or on legal or financial software
  • Have been early at a startup
  • Have design sense alongside engineering skill
