Statement agent
The Statement agent reviews one party's Statement of Net Worth as a whole. It checks what no single line shows: whether the statement adds up, whether its sections and filings agree, what changed between filings, and what the evidence shows it left out. It changes nothing on the statement. Your client's statement gets the same review as the other side's.
Starting a review
Click Statement agent at the top of Net worth analysis, then Start a review. The Get started checklist asks for a review of each party's statement. You can also ask Mona to send it, and the review lands in the same place.
A review waits for any Trace run on the statement to finish, and Trace waits while the review runs.
Reading the review
Its findings are on the Review tab.
- Summary: what the statement shows.
- Flags: each disagreement, with the figures on each side, what would settle it, and who goes next. A flag is a question: it doesn't say which figure is true or who is at fault. Use the arrows to reorder flags.
- Proposed lines: what the evidence shows the statement left out.
- Coverage: what the review checked and what it couldn't.
If the statement changes afterward, the review says so. Click Review again.
Use the Conversation tab to ask about the statement.
Proposed lines
A proposed line appears in its section with a dashed border: Not declared under Declared, the amount under Mona, and Proposed as its status. It stays out of every total until you add it. Only you can add a line.
- Add to statement: adds the line to Mona's analysis. The filed statement doesn't change. The new line is marked From proposal, has no values yet, and opens ready for Trace.
- Dismiss: asks for your reason. The Statement agent won't propose the line again without new evidence.
What it leaves to others
- One line's value: that's Trace's work. An added line has no values until Trace assesses it.
- Which figure is true, or who is at fault: a flag names the disagreement and what would settle it.
- Whether property is marital or separate: that's your call.
