The agents
Mona is the agent you work with. It can send two subagents for specialist work on a statement, and background agents read what you add to the case so the others have evidence to work from.
| Agent | Its job | Who starts it | Where its work lands | What needs you |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mona | Knows the whole case, proposes what to do next, and does the work or delegates it | You, from Ask Mona | The chat, Memory, and Work product | Anything that leaves the firm, and any change to the case's details |
| Trace | Checks one line of a statement against the evidence | You or Mona | Net worth analysis | Reading its results, which apply with no approval step |
| Statement agent | Reviews one party's whole statement | You or Mona | The Statement agent panel in Net worth analysis | Adding or dismissing each proposed line |
| Background agents | Sort and read documents and statements | Adding a file | Documents, Statements, and the Financials pages | What they raise under Needs review, and Confirm details |
Which one to use
You don't have to choose. Ask Mona, and it reads the evidence itself or sends the right subagent. To go straight to a specialist:
- Trace: when you want the value of one line and what supports it.
- Statement agent: when you want to know whether a statement holds together and what it left out.
How to check their work
Every figure an agent writes carries a footnote and a label, so you can open what it rests on. See Evidence and citations.
